The brain stereotaxic instrument is a device used for positioning and fixing the heads of experimental animals. During experiments, the brain stereotaxic instrument is first used to fix the animal's head to prevent any relative movement. Then, a three-dimensional coordinate system defined by external landmarks on the animal's skull or other reference points is adopted, and according to the brain stereotaxic atlas of the experimental animal, the positions of certain subcortical neural nuclei (such as the hippocampus) are determined. This allows directional stimulation, destruction, drug injection, guided positioning and other operations to be performed on the neural nuclei under study without direct visual exposure. It can be used for the establishment of Parkinson's disease animal models, epilepsy animal models, intracranial tumor models, as well as research on learning and memory, intracerebral neural stem cell transplantation, cerebral ischemia, etc.
The Z5084 Portable Brain Stereotaxic Instrument eliminates the U-shaped bracket, and the mouse adapter is directly integrated with the base plate, providing a spacious and open space for experiments and facilitating the head positioning operation of mice by researchers.
Typical Applications
Technical Parameters
1. Small Base Plate Size: 255mm x 255mm
2. Ear Bar Material: Polyoxymethylene resin for mice (unique and lightweight); stainless steel for rats (durable and long-lasting)
3. Incisor Clamp Vertical Adjustment Range: 20mm (0mm~+20mm)
4. Ear Bar Vertical Adjustment Range: 20mm (0mm~+20mm)
5. Ear Bars with Graduation Marks (1mm accuracy) for convenient balancing and fixing operations
6. Ear Bars adopt insertion fixation method (18° blunt head and circular hollow serrations) to prevent skull damage
7. Optional dual-arm configuration available
