Definition of Single and Double Cannulas for Microinjection

The microinjection cannula is a combined device for intracranial administration, consisting of a base, an injection inner tube and a catheter cap. The head of the injection inner tube is upgraded and optimized to connect with the PE tube more conveniently, stably and leak-proofly. The injection inner tube is inserted into the base tube and fixed with a locking nut. After administration, the catheter cap is replaced and inserted into the inner tube of the base to prevent the growth of granulation tissue into the base tube. The base of the combined intracranial administration cannula can be implanted unilaterally or bilaterally into the cranium for drug delivery or electrode implantation. The injection inner tube is used for drug injection, and different injection inner tubes can be matched with the base to achieve precise injection of multiple drugs at the same location or different depths, thus improving experimental efficiency. The microinjection cannula is further divided into single-channel and double-channel types.

The double-channel microinjection cannula enables simultaneous injection of two different drugs at the same location

The microinjection cannulas produced by Zhaorui Precision Technology Co., Ltd are specially designed for intracranial drug delivery in animals. Combined with a stereotaxic instrument, the cannula can be pre-implanted in specific brain regions for long-term and multiple intracerebral administrations via the injection inner tube, and the operation can be performed on awake animals. The microinjection cannula avoids repeated brain tissue damage caused by multiple punctures, and realizes repeated quantitative drug delivery through implantation. Key parameters such as implantation depth can be customized to achieve single-channel or double-channel microinjection.
