The Dog and Monkey Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Stereotaxic Instrument adopts a three-dimensional coordinate system defined by external skull landmarks or other reference points to determine the position of corresponding subcortical neural structures. This enables directional stimulation, destruction, drug injection, and potential guidance research without direct visual exposure of the target area. As an important research device in the fields of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, and neurosurgery, it is applicable for directional injection, stimulation, and destruction of neural structures, as well as drug delivery and potential guidance. It can be used in the establishment of animal models for Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and intracranial tumors, along with research on learning and memory, intracerebral neural stem cell transplantation, and cerebral ischemia.
The dog/monkey adapter securely immobilizes the animal by embedding conical ear bars into the front of the animal's auditory organs. Adjustable orbital pressure rods and a palatal fixation plate are used to prevent skull rotation. All components of the MRI stereotaxic instrument are made of specific non-metallic materials, which are specially designed for use in magnetic resonance environments while ensuring reliable fixation, thus meeting the unique requirements of accurate positioning in brain science research.
