Z5109 Craniocerebral Injury Instrument

The Z5109 Craniocerebral Injury Impactor adopts the principle of free fall and consists of a standard brain stereotaxic instrument base, a free-fall striker, weights, a striker pin and other components. It is mainly used for establishing animal craniocerebral injury models.

The Z5109 Craniocerebral Injury Impactor uses the base of the stereotaxic instrument to fix the animal's head without any relative movement. The strike bracket is moved to position the strike site. Then, based on the free fall principle, the position and impact force of the strike are precisely controlled by selecting weights of different masses and using limit devices, thereby causing craniocerebral injuries of varying degrees in animals. It can create craniocerebral injury models with high repeatability without the need for computer software control, featuring simple operation, strong practicability and high cost performance. It is mainly applied in neuroscience research for establishing experimental models of small animals such as mice, rats and guinea pigs.

Technical Parameters

1. X, Y and Z axes are freely adjustable, with engraved line references on the X-axis. The zero value is the center value of the stereotaxic instrument and can be adjusted left and right.

2. Diameter of the striker pin: 4.5mm.

3. Height of the metal tube: 30mm with 26 equidistant holes.

4. Standard configuration of striking hammers: 20g and 40g (60g and 80g are available on customization).

5. Applicable animals: Mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, cats, dogs, etc.

6. The stereotaxic instrument is not included in the product.
