The product consists of a clamping rod, a V-shaped clamp, a clamping ring, and a precision micrometer barrel of the clamping head (accuracy: 0.01mm per division). V-shaped grooves are engraved on three orientations of the clamping head to facilitate the clamping and guiding of injection needles or electrodes. The clamping head is made of PEI material, which features electrical insulation, radiation resistance, high and low temperature resistance, and wear resistance, as well as microwave permeability. PEI also has excellent flame retardancy, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation properties. Designed for micro-syringe administration experiments, it can fix both the syringe barrel and the needle simultaneously, ensuring more stable clamping of the syringe. The clamping range of the syringe barrel is 3mm-12mm, and the clamping range of the syringe needle is 0.3mm-1.5mm.
In the operation of brain stereotaxic instruments, microinjection on animals is often required. A manual microinjector can be adopted for convenient use. The syringe barrel is directly installed on the holder, and the precise movement of the syringe plunger is controlled by the micro-propeller, enabling direct injection or fluid retrieval from experimental animals and avoiding errors caused by catheter-based methods. This microinjector is compatible with most imported and domestic microsyringes (1μL-100μL), with a propulsion displacement accuracy of 10μm (i.e., each rotation of one small division advances the syringe plunger by 10μm) and a maximum propulsion distance of 25mm.
This product is an upgraded economical version of the Z5120 injection holder. Compared with the more complex electronically controlled microinjectors for brain stereotaxic instruments, this manual microinjector is more cost-effective and easy to operate.
