The ear bars of the mouse and young mouse adapter are made of resin, and their tips are processed with a suitable taper. This design can firmly clamp the mouse's head while avoiding damage to the mouse's skull that would be caused by stainless steel ear bars. The heights of the ear bars on both sides and the height of the incisor clamp can be freely adjusted and are equipped with scales, making them suitable for experiments conducted at different angles.
Typical Applications
1. Used with stereotaxic instruments: applicable for positioning, injection, electroencephalogram (EEG) recording, brain imaging and other related experiments.
2. Used independently: fixes the head to facilitate further experiments on parts such as the legs and back.
Technical Parameters
1. Adopts the "clamping incisors, pressing nasal bridge, inserting ear canals" method to fix the mouse's head.
2. Ear bar adjustment: the vertical and horizontal positions can be adjusted smoothly and finely.
3. Nose-mouth clamp adjustment: the vertical and front-back positions can be adjusted smoothly and finely.
4. The adjustment of both the ear bars and the nose-mouth clamp consists of three steps: loosening the screws --- moving the ear bars --- tightening the screws. This reduces the repeated "loosening-tightening" operation steps and improves efficiency.
5. The vertical adjustments of both the ear bars and the nose-mouth clamp are equipped with scale marks.
